About the role
We are looking for an exceptional Monetisation Director. You are a visionary commercial leader with a deep understanding of global marketplace dynamics and a proven track record in driving revenue growth through all facets of monetisation. You are adept at identifying and capitalising on subscription products, pricing and go-to-market execution of monetisation strategies that both optimise our existing revenue streams, and driving innovative strategies that align with our evolving business goals. Your work on monetisation and pricing strategies will be pivotal to the business as we begin a vital period in Bark’s journey. You’ll have particular expertise in leveraging insights to provide recommendations and work on the continuous evolution of our broad monetisation strategies across all areas of the business. You will help define our consumer price globally, working collaboratively with all areas of the business to optimise for margin, revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Take ownership over all facets of monetisation across the organisation as it currently stands and evolve & iterate on these processes; including owning our subscription products, setting prices within individual industry/geography marketplaces, variable lead pricing & sales discount structures.
Lead on the discovery and ideation of pricing strategies for potential new business lines, with the ultimate goal being to maximising commercial success.
Drive positive change by working collaboratively with a wide range of functions across the business, including finance, technology, product and sales teams
Identify opportunities for new pricing strategies and promotions that will contribute to our strategic goals.
Work closely with the sales team to optimise their pricing & discounting strategies, supporting go-to-market execution of our monetisation strategy executed through product, sales and marketing.
Work with senior leaders across the business globally to create, develop and implement global pricing strategies.
Experience with the design, implementation and analysis of experimentation related to pricing in order to quantify uplift and benefit of changes.
Identify, test & apply new pricing frameworks across the business.
Lead development of business cases, working closely with commercial and finance teams, considering both broader business impact and bottom line financial benefits and risks.
Sit at the heart of trading to inform on the contribution of pricing to overall business performance.
Required skills and experience
Strong strategic capability, able to understand market landscape, use data to identify growth opportunities, identify and formulate plans to achieve a set of defined goals.
Inquisitive nature always looking to iterate and improve.
Proven track record in commercially analytical roles. Able to succeed in a high performance environment where multiple high-profile projects are run in parallel.
Able to communicate confidently, adapt style and influence stakeholders from a wide range of different teams and varying levels of seniority.
Experience with influencing decision makers on pricing related decisions.
Passion for working in a diverse, creative and fast moving international environment, where you can make amazing things happen.
Advanced Google Standard SQL and MySQL or similar relational database language.
Highly proficient with Tableau or Excel/Google Sheets for visualisation & producing analysis.
