About the Role

Join Bark as our Interim Sales Director and take the helm of our global Sales function. Lead dynamic teams across the UK, US, and Australia, playing a pivotal role in steering performance to new heights.     Responsibilities

    • Own & deliver significant growth against our sales strategy.
    • Develop our commercial value propositions and go-to-market sales strategy.
    • Develop the blueprint for scalable growth of the sales operation.
    • Inspire Bark’s sales talent to deliver against a sales-led growth strategy.
    • Own, review and improve Bark’s sales performance, implementing best practices and methodologies specific to both the SMB and enterprise clients.
    • Inspire the expanding inbound and outbound sales teams to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, ensuring they reach their full potential through ongoing training, mentoring and support.
    • Drive new sales initiatives and set the sales strategy across existing and new markets as part of continued international expansion beyond the current 11 markets.Inject energy and drive and best practice processes and tooling to build a strong sustainable sales pipeline.
    • Manage and retain a stable and accountable sales pipeline, partnering with the marketing team on initiatives, incentives, and promotions.
    • Ensure commercial excellence through optimising systems, integrations, methodologies, and reporting.
    • Leverage market research and working closely with Marketing to assist the expansion team to identify new potential SMB and enterprise customers, as well as new market sales opportunities (outbound and inbound).

      Required Skills and Experience

      • Proven experience as a Sales Director with multi-country global remit with practical experience of scaling up in the US.
      • Proven experience of structuring, managing and leading a high-performance sales team within a marketplace / B2B2C company or platform.
      • An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics at the executive level.
      • A highly customer centric attitude combined with excellent negotiation skills.
      • Ability to operate with faster sales cycles across the SMB customer base given the quicker decision making processes, as well as longer sales cycles with larger corporates.
      • An agile thinker who can understand the nuances of Bark’s customer base and wider business model.
      • A high energy and driven sales leader who has an understanding and appreciation for digital marketing
      • A detail oriented thought leader who can engage and inspire a team around them.

            • 2nd Stage - Interview with CEO (Hiring Manager) (60 mins)
            • 3rd Stage - Task stage (90 mins)
            • 4th Stage - Values stage (30 mins)
